Semi & Non-Destructive Testing

The standard procedure of testing deployed is to collect samples during the construction of the building and check for its properties simultaneously. However, in certain conditions it is not possible to conduct a complete testing to assess the quality of the structure.

Due to these factors Non - Destructive Testing methods have become one of the major means to assess the in - situ condition of Concrete. Though there are a lot of variations and methods used the most common methods of testing are described as follows:

Rebound Hammer Test for RC Columns, Beams, Slabs, Shear Walls etc.
Ultrasonic Pulse Velocity Test for RC Columns, Beams, Slabs, Shear Walls etc.
Half Cell Potential Test to assess the levels of corrosion in reinforcing steel in the structure.

Covermeter Test for mapping the rebar locations and approximate diameters post construction.

Concrete Core Extraction and Testing for assessing the compressive strength of cast - in - situ concrete.
